Red Bear Angels portfolio company Biotia has closed a $3 million seed financing round led by Burnt Island Ventures. The environmental diagnostics company develops rapid PFAS testing tools and operates a new laboratory and innovation hub in Longmont, Colorado.
Biotia will use the financing to scale sales and customer operations, advance its rapid PFAS testing tools, and expand its platform to additional contaminants including microplastics. The company aims to help environmental teams generate actionable data in near real time for monitoring and remediation decisions.
The financing follows Biotia’s move to a new headquarters and supports the company’s commercial launch activities as demand grows for faster, more scalable environmental testing infrastructure.
