Red Bear Angels portfolio company Harbinger Motors has announced a strategic partnership with American Rheinmetall to develop a family of hybrid-electric, autonomy-ready uncrewed ground vehicles for military logistics. The collaboration pairs Harbinger's proven medium-duty chassis — offering over 500 miles of combined range — with Rheinmetall's advanced vehicle integration and modular autonomous architecture.
Under the agreement, Harbinger supplies its high-performance, fully drive-by-wire medium-duty platform while American Rheinmetall contributes mission systems expertise and autonomous navigation capabilities. The unmanned ground vehicles are designed for military logistics missions where removing personnel from harm's way is a top priority. Joint field demonstrations are planned for this summer, with procurement pathways through Commercial Solutions Openings and Other Transaction Authorities to follow.
