Red Bear Angels portfolio company TETmedical has appointed life sciences executives Marc Lebel and Patrick A. McBrayer to its Board of Directors as it prepares for a planned pivotal study of NSE-FAST, its rapid blood test for acute ischemic stroke.
The appointments add experience spanning medical technology, clinical development, FDA processes, capital formation, commercialization and strategic exits. TETmedical plans a fourth-quarter 2026 multi-center pivotal study and is preparing a Series A financing to support regulatory submission and an initial commercial launch.
NSE-FAST received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation in June 2026. The near-patient diagnostic is designed to measure functional enzymatic activity of neuron-specific enolase in plasma as an aid in evaluating acute ischemic stroke.
