Red Bear Angels portfolio company Verasight has released findings from its June 2026 national AI survey, documenting broad public support for stronger federal oversight and corporate accountability. The representative poll of 1,690 U.S. adults found 89% support mandatory disclosure of internal AI safety testing results and 81% support authority to block risky AI system releases.
The survey also found that 69% of respondents support requiring AI companies to transfer 50% of their stock to a public fund, while trust in industry self-regulation remains limited. The findings highlight strong bipartisan demand for transparency and safeguards as AI systems become more consequential across the economy.
