
Red Bear Angels portfolio company Harbinger Motors has been named to Inc. magazine's list of 17 startups rebuilding America — a recognition of the most innovative companies restoring domestic manufacturing, infrastructure, and industrial capacity across the United States.
Inc. described Harbinger as building an essential component for electric commercial trucks that move goods, power utilities and serve municipalities, and is doing it domestically. The Garden Grove, California company designs and manufactures chassis and auxiliary power systems for medium-duty electric trucks — the kind deployed by major fleet operators including Amazon, FedEx, and the U.S. Postal Service.
Founded in 2021 by John Harris, Phillip Weicker, and Will Eberts, Harbinger has raised $358 million to date and now employs over 500 people across 165,000 square feet in Orange County. The company is operating in a commercial EV market currently valued at approximately $91 billion, projected to reach $500 billion by 2035.
